"The organizational and administrative conditions of the work of the Tribunal shall be secured by the President of the Tribunal and the Office of the Tribunal subordinate to him. The office of the Constitutional Tribunal shall be managed by its head, who shall be appointed by the General Assembly of Judges of the Constitutional Tribunal upon the motion of the President of the Tribunal. General information

The Office of the Constitutional Tribunal assures the organizational, administrative, and financial background of the Constitutional Tribunal activities. The Office of the Tribunal, which is subordinate to the President of the Tribunal, is managed by its head, appointed by the General Assembly of Judges. It acts on the basis of the Statute, dispositions, orders and decisions issued by the Head of the Office.

Tasks of the Office are performed by the Head of the Office, Director of the Office of Administrative Services, Presidential Department, Secretary of the Tribunal, Department of the Initial Review of Applications and Constitutional Complaint, Department of Jurisprudence and Studies, Department of Press and Information, Editorial Office of the Tribunal's Publications, Library of the Tribunal, Self-dependent Posts of the Collaborators of the Judges, Section of Finances and Accountancy, Section of Administration and Economy, Section of Electronic Data Processing, Guards of the Constitutional Tribunal, Self-dependent Personnel Manager, Legal Adviser and Auditor.

Head of the Office of Tribunal represents the Office to the public, and also to the President, Vice-President and General Assembly of the Judges. The Head of the Office issues dispositions, orders and decisions; it also presents to the President of the Tribunal temporal reports on the work of the Office and the tasks that it performs. The Head of the Office is also allowed to appoint commissions or advisory organs to investigate particular matters.

Director of the Office of Administrative Services coordinates the work of the individual sections with in Office: the Section of Finances and Accountancy, the Section of Administration and Economy, the Section of Electronic Data Processing, and the Guards of the Constitutional Tribunal.

The basic tasks of selected sections and departments are, among others:

Presidential Department - provides services for the Secretaries of the President and Vice-President of the Tribunal. The Presidential Department fulfills indicated tasks belonging to the official scope of the President and Vice-President's activities, organizational service for the General Assembly of Judges and their international affairs, the organization of conferences, seminars and lectures, and propagation of the Tribunal's activities.

Secretary of the Tribunal: executes Presidential orders dealing with the cases that come before the Tribunal; keeps the court's documentation in order by providing secretarial and clerical services; and grants access to the files of the cases investigated by the Tribunal, to participants in the proceedings.

Department of the Initial Review of Applications and Constitutional Complaint Director: performs the work connected with accepting constitutional complaints and proceeding with further action. The Department informs potential complainants the constitutional complaint procedure and answers letters and petitions sent to the Tribunal.

Department of Jurisprudence: studies the Tribunal's jurisprudence, and also the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and the Chief Administrative Court, especially in the area of issues essential for the Tribunal's jurisdiction. This department also collects analytical research on judicial decisions resulting from the questions of law referred to the Tribunal by the courts.

Editorial Office of the Tribunal's Publications: organizes the Tribunal's jurisdiction into a publishable form. The Editorial Office edits and issues the Official Collection of Constitutional Tribunal's Jurisdiction and other publications dealing with the Tribunal's work in Poland and other nation's Constitutional Courts' impact throughout the world.

Department of Press and Information: the Court's press service, it performs the duties connected with informing the public about the Tribunal's work and about the judicial decisions included in the Tribunal's jurisdiction that may affect the public.

The Office of the Constitutional Tribunal is seated in a building, that before 1914 functioned as the officers' mess-room for the nearby Suworow Military School. After the First World War the building remained at the disposition of military powers, and after the Second World War it was the seat of the Central Military Library. After a huge remodeling project, the building has been the seat of the Constitutional Tribunal since 1995. According to the new duties and competencies gained by the Tribunal in 1997, when the new Constitution and new Constitutional Tribunal Act came into force, the hitherto existing building ceased to be sufficient and in 2001 a massive enlargement project began. A new pavilion is currently under construction which will contain office and jurisdiction rooms, and will ensure conditions necessary to enable efficient working conditions for the Tribunal.
