Judge Bohdan Zdziennicki was born on 8 January 1944 in Augustów. Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Warsaw University in 1966, and started work at the Legal Studies Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 1969 awared a judge certificate. In 1970 started scientific research at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University, Chair of Agricultural Law. In 1974 he was awared his juris doctor's degree, and his doctor's thesis received an award in a national competition of the editors of "Państwo i Prawo" [The State and the Law]. Since 1977 employed at the Warsaw University. At the same time he continued his work in the field of legislation in the Ministry of Justice. In 1979 appointed Deputy Director of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Justice, supervised legislative works on agricultural law, civil law and economic law. From 1990 to 1997 member of the Board of the Polish Lawyers Association. From 1994 to 1997 Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Justice, responsible for legislation. Member of the Presidium and Secretary of the Legislative Council of the Prime Minister. For twenty years a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court. |
