WOJCIECH ŁĄCZKOWSKI

 

Judge Wojciech Łączkowski was born on 3 October 1933 in Poznań. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań [UAM] in 1955. In 1959-1962 he trained as advocate. Judge Łączkowski earned his juris doctor degree in 1964, a habilitated doctor's degree in 1968, and was awarded the title of professor in 1977.  Since 1992 he has been a full professor at the UAM. He headed the Chair of Financial Law, and then served as dean, deputy dean and deputy rector of the UAM, and of the Catholic University of Lublin [KUL]. In 1989 he was elected chairman of the Civic Committee in Poznań. He chaired the National Electoral Commission in 1994-1997. Since 1998 he is a member of the Monetary Policy Council.

He is a member of the Association of Polish Catholic Lawyers. He is also an ocean going yacht master.

He is an author of around 100 publications in the field of financial law.

Wojciech Łączkowski was a Judge of the Constitutional Tribunal from 1989 to 1997.
