Stanisław Rymar

 

Justice Stanisław Rymar was born on 19 May 1941 in Cracow. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow in 1963. He passed a judicial exam in 1965 and a bar exam in 1969. In 1986 he became member of the Supreme Bar Council. He served as secretary of the Supreme Bar Council from 1989-1992. From 1995-1998 he held the position of Deputy President, and from 2001- 2007 he was President of the Supreme Bar Council.

In November 2007 the Sejm of the Republic of Poland appointed him Deputy President of the Tribunal of State. At the bar association judge Rymar served also as director of the Research Centre of the Polish Bar and legal secretary of the Supreme Bar Council, and he is now member of the Board of the Polish Bar Foundation. He is also arbitrator placed on the list of arbitrators of the Standing Amicable Court of the Polish Bar Foundation and the Arbitrary Court of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers "Lewiatan". Judge Rymar is Chairman of the Revision Commission of the Warsaw Skiing Club.

Justice Rymar has been awarded a number of distinctions, including the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Badge of Merit of the Polish Bar.

In November 2010 the Sejm of the Republic of Poland appointed him Justice of the Constitutional Tribunal.
