ANDRZEJ KABAT

 

Judge Andrzej Kabat was born on 18 June 1934 in Rogoźno Wielkopolskie. He studied law in Maria Curie-Skłodowska University [UMCS] in Lublin from which he graduated in 1956. Judge Kabat earned his juris doctor degree in 1964, and a habilitated doctor's degree in 1991. He has been a professor of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn since 1998, heading its Department of Administrative Procedures. In 1958-1959 he trained as prosecutor and practised as a public prosecutor from 1959 to 1985. He practised as a legal adviser in 1991-1992.

He was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court in 1989, and a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court in 1992.

He is a member of the of the Polish Lawyers Association.

He is an author of 85 publications in the field of administrative law and procedures and procedure before the Constitutional Tribunal.

Andrzej Kabat was a Judge of the Constitutional Tribunal from 1985 to 1989.
